… die Südbayern ab und an heimzusuchen pflegt, ist nicht ganz ohne, und kann sich durchaus negativ auf die Gesundheit auswirken – von starken Kopf- und Narbenschmerzen über Herz- und Kreislaufbeschwerden bis hin zu Konzentrationsschwächen und Übellaunigkeit. Jedoch beschert uns die kräftige, warme Strömung aus dem Süden auch viel Schönes, wie z. B. eine wunderbar klare Sicht auf die ca. 150 km entfernte Kette der Alpengipfel. Und wenn der Luft dann auch noch ein gerüttelt Maß an Saharastaub beigefügt ist, dann muss man jene Bilder, die man vom Münchner Rathausturm aus gemacht hat, gar nicht viel bearbeiten, um erstaunliche, manchmal durchaus etwas surreale Lichteffekte zu erhalten…
… In Southern Bavaria sometimes exists a rather strange weather phenomenon called Fön – a strong gush of warm air from the Mediterranean Region is being lifted across the Alps by a low pressure area in the West and a high pressure area in the East. This can act rather negative on some people’s health and cause strong headaches, scar pains, cardiovascular problems, lack of concentration and bad mood. The good side of Fön is, that we have a wonderful and clear sight on the chain of the Alps some 120 miles away. And when – as it has happened today – there is also much dust from the Sahara Desert in the air one does not have to edit ones pictures very much to gain astonishing and even surreal light effects…
